Looking for someone who is experienced in sewing and soft goods. Experience sewing with leather. I have a paper sketch with dimensions of the wallet design. Upon choosing the right person for the job, we can discuss the design in more detail, and I can also share pictures of similar designs of what I am looking for. The person will be responsible for making the wallet prototype. It is a plus if the person has a selection of material (leather & polyester) to choose from, but if needed I can supply the materials. The goal would be to have prototype done in a week. If prototype needs more iterations then we would move forward from their.

Howdy, I'm Peter. I think I'm the right guy in the right place at the right time for you. I live in Pittsburgh. I'm typically on here for doing VFX on videos, but this is also up my alley. I got into leather working in Boy Scouts when I was 11, and have kept up with it mostly as a hobby. I have tools, materials, and skill required. Mostly I've made belts, or even a bullwhip (a real one, not one of the ones that's only one layer and wears out after a few weeks. I made it when I was 12 and it's still great.) I haven't made a wallet (mine was a gift from a friend from Haiti) but I know how to work leather. So it should be within my skill set. I just haven't made one because I didn't need it. I have a LOT of materials lying around that I use for projects. A lot of my leather work is to supplement my other crafts. I do metalwork, beadwork, and have numerous other skills. I guess I didn't have enough money to buy everything I wanted, so I learned to make it. I hope I can be of assistance!
