Modify Python Code to draw trees in ASCII format - sample code will be provided

Hello. Please share the code mentioned in the description for review. The description is clear enough for me to understand that I will have to complete only the mentioned two functions in order for the program to able to correctly draw trees using ascii characters, yes? I have 3+ years of experience programming in Python and 6+ years of experience programming overall so I am sure I will be able to complete this task.
