Good day, I require a detailed report as to why SQL Server Windows NT 64 Bit will take up 100% CPU and how to fix it. What quires cause the issues, etc. Things to know before you bid: This is a SQL Express DB that is going to be moved to Azure. The software is a POS system. TeamViewer will be the software used to access the server. I can replicate a spike in the CPU by performing a task that takes up to 30% CPU. Ensure that the CPU consumption issue no longer exists once quires are fixed. Update the DB on Azure with the new one. Work will need to start at 9PM MST on Monday March 12th. The fix will need to be implemented either the same day or March 13th between 8AM-9AM MST. If you have an example report of the analysis you will provide this would be preferred. Only bid if you are able to perform all the task above and perform the work during the specified times above. Thanks, Steve

Hello Can i know what is the task that causes CPU to rise to 33% ? If you are doing massive inserts for instance then you would just need better hardware . If that is read only then sure there is something to be done about it . ______________ Are you using Express 2017 ? thanks

Hi Mr. Steve: I am a 20 years experienced Computing Professional. I've been working with SQL Server since version 7. I suppose the problem you have is because the lack of Indexes in some critical tables. This problem you have we could solve it by monitoring this process that consume 30%. We'll get from there all Queries executed and then monitor each one so we could identify where is the bottle neck. After that We could add necessary indexes and It should solve this problem. The Recommendation after that is to analyze the entire database structure and add as much indexes as is needed. Optionally, of course. We don't need to do this on Production environment.
