Virtual Construction Engineer\Assistant

Utilize McKenney’s drafting standards to create clear and legible Building Information Models (BIM) and shop drawings. Model all equipment and HVAC and plumbing systems as “real life” entities that reflect actual shape, size and access requirements. Leverage your engineering and/or construction knowledge with the acquired BIM skills to develop new ideas and processes to save time and decrease construction costs. Participate in BIM meetings both internally and with project construction teams to develop fully coordinated virtual 3D models. Produce fabrication drawings, spools sheets and sheet metal CAM files to drive production in our fabrication shops. Leverage McKenney’s workflows and technology to produce all documents/models within budget and in timely manner to meet the commitments to our customers, both internal and external. Effectively communicate with project managers, project engineers and field foremen during the development of the virtual models and through construction. Support the mobile technology workflow to provide timely documentation to our field and project management teams. Interface with the Profit Center Manager of the assigned Operations Group to attend monthly meetings, develop relationships with members of that team and cultivate an understanding of the project management side of the business.
