Looking for a program to run that monitors a network folder and then automatically prints whatever PDF files show up in that folder.
User should be able to choose the network folder to monitor.
User should be able to choose the printer it prints to.
There should be the ability to add multiple locations.
Each location will have it's own printer selected.
This should run as a service and have a GUI.
Main screen should show a list of current folders being monitored and the printer that it prints to.
User should be able to click on one of the locations and edit it or click add to add a new location.
When editing or adding a location, it should request: Name, network folder, select printer.
It should run on a timer that can be set to xx seconds. When the timer executes, it will go through the list of network folders and if it finds a PDF file, it should automatically print it to the set printer for that location. Once it has printed, it should move the file to another folder called "Completed" within that network location so the user can review later any files that had printed.
There should also be a log created for each location so the user can see when and what was
printed. This can be done from the network location list by right clicking or highlighting and clicking a button that says view log.
We do not need any security as this will run as administrator on server with full access to the network locations.
Hi there, how are you?
Your project caught my attention and I'd like to work with you.
Your requirement is very related to a project I recently completed (Receipt Swipe) where folders are being monitored and operations are performed on the files found in the folder during the speculated time.
Send me a message so that I can show you some samples and we can equally get started.
Regards,
Reed.
Hi
I have read your description carefully.
I can make it run as a service with a GUI.
The UI will be simple and a breeze to use and you can connect a particular network folder to a particular printer no issue.
Please feel free to discuss further.
Regards
Aditya
