I am working to build an Assisted Living Community and Wellness Centre, where I want to provide visualized therapies, merging art, nature and virtual reality. I would like to offer guided meditations both as individual and group sessions in a pool—I'm picturing floating in the water as someone gently drags you around by the handle of the life jacket. As you look up the Northern Lights flare across the room, so many fantastic ribbons of colour gracefully glow and then fade away into the darkness..
1. I want to create an audio-visualizer that takes the soundwave and blurs the colour, so it looks more like the flared/streak glow of the aurora borealis.
- Colours can be random.
2. I want the soundwaves to essentially be the subtitles of the guided meditations. The punctuation would determine how the audio string moves.
- Each string/sentence will appear and build by one segment/word in a continuous line until the end of line/period.
- Hold for two more lines to appear then dissolve.
It is important to me that this accurately represents what I am saying, integrity and transparency are core values of my project, I don't want to cut corners by making something good enough for now. I truly want to help people by showing them there is still a little magic and wonder out there, that they can believe in the possibilities.
Directly above the pool is the Dining hall, the themed element for this room is Earth. The artwork that inspired it is called Belly of the Beast, where overhead are curved beams and columns that cascade down the center of the room, like the massive rib cage of a whale—I picture a child laying on the beach underneath the ribs, counting stars and watching paper lanterns being released along the shoreline..
Thank you for your time and consideration.
