You will join a small team working on a financial comparison website. Your tasks are very diverse but are all related to studying and monitoring financial products that all consumers have like loans, savings and insurances. Most tasks are performed by someone in the team and will be distributed gradually to you. You will get training and documentation to help you do your jobs if something is unfamiliar for you. This is a longterm cooperation, don't apply if you are looking for short term opportunity COMPENSATION DETAILS: You will get a hourly fee of 7$ per hour. This rate is before odesk costs, so you need to substract odesk costs from that. Payments for the hourly rate will be released around the 10 th of the next month, so for example for your work in July will you receive your monthly rate on the 10th of august (it could be one or two days late if the 10th falls on a weekend). Note that it is up to you to research and comply to local regulations and laws in your country regarding your income deriving from freelance work, as well as to pay any applicable taxes. We will not pay additional contributions or taxes apart from what is described above. We will ask you ID to prove your identity. OUR APPROACH TO FREELANCERS AND REMOTE EMPLOYEES We employ many freelancers and we plan to scale this even more in the future. Freelancers and remote staff are a core part of our company, we don't post jobs to cover a temporary need, which means that there can be develeopment and career opportunities if you show us your talent, such as managing or leading a team of remote employees. YOUR PROFILE (required compentencies) - you are fluent in DUTCH (nederlands) both written and orally - familiar with excel, word, gmail, gdocs - you are able to handle a multitude of different tasks - you are intelligent and quick to learn new things PLUS POINTS (these are not required competencies but they give you an advantage) - knowledge of databases and programming languages - knowledge of french - higher education - financial background YOUR TASKS: you... - email with customers - market research of simple financial products (insurances, savings products, loans...) - checking and updating simple financial products, ... - working with databases - managing a team of student journalists YOUR AVAILLABILITY you will need to be availlable 3 times during day for 1 hour each time.
