Overview
We are a group of retail stores that employs a number of staff across all our branches. As part of our day to day operations, certain mandatory tasks are required to be completed which normally consist of checklists or tick boxes, as well are certain figure reporting.
We require an internal, web-based system to assist with our operations and logistics. We aim for this to be a modular system operating as a portal/central hub that will get expanded in the future with additional functionality. However, at the core of the system are 3 main areas :
Personnel Management - This is for recording staff details (personal details, contact information, etc). This will not be used as a scheduling system, but for recording nad holding details. Functionality will included text fields for each staff member that we pre-determine, but with ability for admins to add other fields in future. We also require the ability to upload documents related to that staff member (such as contracts, letters, etc). A number of these will be required for each person so will fill a field, whilst also allowing for general documents to be uploaded and access in a single place
Audit Management - This is a system we require to be a customised “questionnaire” system, were admin can pre-build an “audit” - which is essentially a questionnaire. Questions will be categorised into Category and a Sub-category .. Audits can be built with individual planned questions, or by adding categories at a time. Each audit is to be logged by who completed is, as well a date/time/score/etc. All audits should be able to be viewed once completed. Also, audits should be able to be saved as draft/resumed later based on that user login.
Asset Management - This will be a single database that allows for recording of a Serial Number / Asset number for our equipment. It should allow for adding details, dates, pictures - fields to be provided
Across all systems, each staff member logged in the personnel management should have their own login to access their personnel details as well as complete the audit/asset functions. Admin control should allow for custom permissions for each user. We also require auditing of changes made (such as to asset or personnel) with ability to see historical data.
As we operate multiple stores, some users will be at a single store, but others will be at multiple branches. Therefore, custom permissions should be individual by store, as well as by function.
Interface should be clean and tidy - prefer the minimal look. The Audit Manager should be optimised for tablet user (ie - large buttons for touch screen) as they can be completed whilst walking through the store.

Attached is a System Specification/Requirements document that I have tried to write to explain what we want a bit clearer, so I hope it is useful.
I am happy to include / work with / provide other screen mock ups, example questions, list of fields for records, etc... however, where much of it is intended to be customizeable, I;m not sure how much difference it will make, if we can make new fields ourselves.
I have very little concerns regarding design, colours, etc ... Although for reference, font we use is Calibri
