Fix broken menus on a Joomla! 3.6.5 website. After inheriting website management from a developer who is no longer available, we have made some urgent content updates (removing/unpublishing some modules/articles etc). Being unfamiliar with current Joomla structure, this involved some digging around in the website backend and some trial-and-error to remove unwanted content from the home page. Now the main menu is not working. I am hesitant to use the menu "Rebuild" button as I have seen some knowledgebase articles saying that in some instances it breaks things even further! I need someone who is experienced with Joomla to troubleshoot and fix this urgently.
