I have long experience with Unix based socket programming - starting from SCO Unix (circa 1999) to various versions of Linux. Very recently, I've done a transaction server running on Ubuntu, that extensively used TCP/IP sockets and threads.

I am currently working in a project very similar. It is not a migration, but a linux CentOS server side (c++ 11 with socket communication, using boost library, multi-threaded safe, async implemented rings to process tasks, valgrind tool) and a c# client side. I have a good experience with GIT too. I can work 20 hours weekly including weekends if possible. Let's talk and make the best partnership for both sides.
