A Bi-fold door will fold inwards on the sidewalls of the door and hence space requirement for opening will be less.This is highly suitable for Home Elevators and Buses. A 24V PMDC (Permanent Magnet DC Motor) with a built-in Encoder will be used to operate the Door Operator of the Bifold door. The controller should have 3 Speed Control and should follow the Ideal Speed Control curve (shown below) to at least 85%. It should have a soft start to avoid jerks during start of the opening and closing. The speed at the full opening and full closing should be very low so that the people can enter or exit unheard. While closing if someone extends hand on the door line, the door should immediately start opening and again close after a pre-set time. All the 3 Speeds in Opening and Closing should pre-adjustable independently.

Engineers Akademy developed a Prototype of a Fully Automatic Motion Controller to move a table in Bernouli’s Spiral movement. The Prototype was developed from scratch. Autonics - 2 Axis high speed programmable motion controller – Model: PMC-2HS was used to develop “Bernouli Spiral” motion through a Stepper Motor controlled X-Y Table. A Digital I/O Circuit was developed to feed motion control data to the Motion Controller. A double sided PTH PCB was designed and made for the Digital I/O and allied circuits. Inductive proximity Sensors were used to locate the “Home” position and “End” positions of the X-Y Table. The Sensor Actuator circuit activated a Ardunio UNO card to send digital signal to the motion controller. The motion controller was pre-programmed to have 4 type of ‘Bernouli Spiral” movement which were selectable by rotary switch. The machine was fully automatic.

Engineers Akademy developed a Prototype of a Fully Automatic Motion Controller to move a table in Bernouli’s Spiral movement. The Prototype was developed from scratch. Autonics - 2 Axis high speed programmable motion controller – Model: PMC-2HS was used to develop “Bernouli Spiral” motion through a Stepper Motor controlled X-Y Table. A Digital I/O Circuit was developed to feed motion control data to the Motion Controller. A double sided PTH PCB was designed and made for the Digital I/O and allied circuits. Inductive proximity Sensors were used to locate the “Home” position and “End” positions of the X-Y Table. The Sensor Actuator circuit activated a Ardunio UNO card to send digital signal to the motion controller. The motion controller was pre-programmed to have 4 type of ‘Bernouli Spiral” movement which were selectable by rotary switch. The machine was fully automatic.
