I have a some already existing code that generates some smart looking excel reports using OpenXML. I am weak on WPF Forms, as well as AutoUpdate.
I am looking for working WPF Form with some simple functionalities:
a toolstrip/menustrip for further development. File / Edit/Configuration/Settings/preferences kind of stuff.
A read/write of config file values. read them on opening, and have the ability to update and save any values in the config file. open all config values into a Name/Value grid, so they can be updated as needed. dynamically loaded from the config, not hardcoded to say, 12 specific values. the config could have some flag, like system=1 to make the value read only.
an auto update feature, with a check for updates functionality,so a newly published version can be downloaded.
a License Activate/Deactivate feature so that functionality requires either a download temporary license (ie 30 days), or entry and verification of a paid license. the license may need to be moved to another machine, so the Deactivating of the license would be necessary.
A grid in the application., with an Execute Report button.
The grid values are populated from a SQL Server Table,
where the selected row value is passed to a stub procedure to exec.
a bonus feature would be one specific value [CommandDescription] would be echoed out to a rtf/multi line testbox to present details about the row selected.
The Execute Report button would call an empty stub procedure with the parameter from the grid row that was selected at the time of the button press.
.Net Core over .net 4.X/5.X is a plus.
design suggestions based on your experience would be a plus.
nice to have that can be added for additional costs:
Changable Themes, like DevExpress or Telerik tools provide.
Form to connect/verify SQL Server connection, which saves to the previously mentioned config file.
