I see this tool as a desktop software, that allows the following activity.
1. Manage Social Accounts - get posts and make posts (for user accounts)
User will add his acounts under an "umbrella name" - example Jo Smith - Programer - all of his Jo Smith programing related accounts - Twitter FB and his WP blog site acc will be stored and used in retrieving posts and making posts. in the case of FB will allow his post to go to a specified group or to his wall.
He would also be able to specify his own shortening service api or leave to [url removed, login to view] for example.
2. Cross platfrom posting, take one post and post/link across other social platforms - ie take your blog post, post to your blog (WP only) auto-shorten to Twitter post - shorten to FB post and interlink - so you can have the twitter link to FB, and FB to the blog and vice versa.
3. Ping - will need to be able to store the posted links to ping them.
