X-cart shipping customization

1. FedEx Ground Customization:

The customization I am looking for is to have X-cart upload all data required by FedEx Web Services so FedEx, not X-cart, can correctly rate, per my account specific rates, a shipment by FedEx Ship Manager and then return the results to the specific order in X-cart. A downloaded rate chart will not calculate the correct freight totals.

A shipment is defined as the number of boxes in an order and the dimensions, weight & declared value of each of the boxes. These fields will have to be added to items and variants in x-cart.

Also required is the destination zip code & weather it is a residential or commercial delivery address. These fields will have to be added to customer profiles.

2. FedEx Freight Customization:

Several of our items are over FedEx Ground's maximum size limit and can only be shipped on FedEx Freight so I will need X-cart setup to rate shipments with them also. A field will have to be added to items and variants setting these items as truck shipments only. Their requirements are in the attached .pdf file.

If a customer orders an item which can be shipped with FedEx Freight and items which can be shipped with FedEx Ground, X-cart will have to be configured so both items will ship with FedEx Freight, not be split up and shipped separately. I am not sure how to handle this. Do you have any suggestions?

3. On large orders of multiple items there are times when both FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight will need to be compared for the lowest freight cost. I am not sure how to handle this. Do you have any suggestions?

4. I have two X-cart websites I would like this customization installed on and I would like this customization available as a patch, upgrade or package so it can be upgraded and re-installed on either website when I upgrade to new versions of X-cart. Is this possible?
