I am in the process of changing my complete web site from windows hosting, WebWiz asp forums and VPASP an asp shopping cart over to a Unix server, vBulletin (a php forum) and CS-CART (a php shopping cart).
To complete the whole new site I wanted to also revamp the header that goes onto each page therefore I am considering Flash to really make an impact.
My issues are that the site is set up as a community service more then anything else for recreational flying and not for the business side of aviation so a lot of the users are 50+ year old country people on dialup. I am also concerned that with flash it may be to much for the user if it was something big and slow that would make the browsing experience a bit off putting so I am after something that incorporates something really interesting with my logo, recreational aviation theme, not overdone but impressive and a user friendly WOW factor.
I have spent the day looking around on the net at all the flash templates that are available and they do really look impressive with what you can do and there were even templates that were aviation related but offcourse I have my own logo.
