Ionic 3 Push notification Event Handling

I am working on an Ionic 3 app and Angular 6 with push notification feature. I got push notification working. I need some help in following things
1. gracefully handling the push event like notification, when the application is in the foreground and when the application is in the background.
2. I having an issue with updating the UI on receiving the push notification.

1. You have to work on my computer, I will share my screen. I cannot provide you the code.
