Stagecoach Software is building a website that contains statistical profiles relating to a particular profession in Australia.

We have a MySQL database with 20 tables and tens of millions of rows. It is updated with scrapers that add tens of thousands of new rows every day.

This small project is designed to identify a talented ruby on rails coder who can join our small team full time and complete a constant pipeline of projects over the next six months.

Our stack is MySQL and Ruby on Rails. We have a development server and a suite of three dedicated production servers. Our bank end website app provides tables of statistical data to management. One of these tables provides a COUNT of how many rows in certain tables are NULL This project is to a row added to that table. The row will state the answer to “SELECT COUNT(*) FROM [table] where [column] IS NULL”. This answer must be provided for the current day, yesterday and other specified points in the past.

This is a simple job. All our code is on github. You can use and adapt the code for the existing table to create the new row. Do not apply unless you have extensive RoR experience and want to work full time on related future projects.
