ASP to PHP Conversion for US Football Pool website

I want to set up a PHP/MySQL based website for pool betting website. ASP Football Pools is an open source website running ASP and an access db.
This is a great application but for obvious reasons, it would run much more efficiently, more cheaply and have greater room for scaling if it was in PHP and running a MySQL db.
I can convert the asp files to php if that helps speed things along and dont mind being involved to whatever extent. I just need someone who does this more frequently than I.
At this point, I would like an individual or team that can debug the software and ultimately make the php speak to the MySQL and the website work seamlessly. Some of the issues likely to be face are:
- unconverted code (still in asp)
- some dim statements converted to comments
- replicated characters in statements ?, $ etc
-SQL statements that need to be customized for MySQL
etc etc
The supplier has the liberty to host it on their own site for periodic review/demo and ultimately provide the debugged php files and MySQL db and I will upload on my site myself. No confidentiality agreements - Hoorah!
All software is Open Source so you retain all the liberty to use the system in future as you please.
