224570 Customizing Wordpress Template

I currently have a blog running Wordpress with a simple 3-column theme. I would like to transition to a magazine-style theme. I have several in mind, but all need alternations that are beyond my basic knowledge of CSS.

No graphic design needed, I have all the images needed for the site. Template customization only.

It would also be helpful if the same person could install the wordpress 2.5 upgrade (I'm currently running 2.3.2).
