Our Shipping platform connects customers (shippers) with courier /logistics services companies closest to them to ship various goods and services. The system will work with ecommerce, corporate, government and multinationals to enable them request and ship their products with few clicks of a button and make payment. Each courier/logistics company can set their rate for each shipping and get various offers from multiple customers. Upon completion of each shipping, customers can give customer testimonials for each completed order.
We are interested in engaging a PHP Developer to help us develop an ecommerce courier marketplace that will connect courier and logistics companies to potential customers that will ship from them through our platform. The user will make a request, and make payment, the courier will be notified and accept the offer. Then the merchant print waybill. After the site is developed, a mobil APP (Android and IOS) will both be developed later as phase 2 – this is not part of the scope of this project.
The system will be a shipping aggregator platform (just like online payment aggregators that enables you accept payments from Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Dinersclub on a single dashboard) that will enable you ship from multiple local courier and logistics companies. Meanwhile, the courier companies (DHL, UPS, Fedex) will also be available and their API will be integrated to enable the user to request pickup and generate waybill and will have all details on it such as sender address, recipient address, tracking number among others which they can print and paste on the package. Where this waybill automated feature is not available, our system will tell the customer it’s not available and will then show our standard waybill details that is used for all other customers. The DHL and co will then give them their waybill details independently.
We will have API that will receive details, rates etc from the courier/logistics and it can also pass the sender details from the ecommerce shopping cart to the courier and logistics that will have automated system.
