Data capturing of RSVP form and making it available as Excel spreadsheet download

I require the data that gets entered in an online rsvp form to be captured in a database and then also to be made available to the client to download the data from online back-end in excel spreadsheet. I will also require to re-use this for various events in the future. So I need to be able to adapt forms to the system.
The current form is an exising html with php post to an email form.
