Port the Windows MediaCenter Screensaver to Windows 10

MediaCenter has been deprecated with the introduction of Windows 10, but was available in Windows XP and Windows 7. I would like to recreate this Screensaver for Windows 10, however the source of the images should be selectable folders in Google Drive / Google Photos.
