WIP

I did this as an exercise to develop a workflow for such things but don't actually posses a copy of Autocad. However I can export as a DXF file but can't do the perspective 2D views. Some things I've noticed. There's no details about the type of door handle or latch mechanism and whether it's connected to the deadbolt or whether the deadbolt has side latches in the door frame edge top and bottom. So I've just put in a reasonable looking facsimile of the door handles and assumed a 2 1/2" latch backseat position and haven't done much about the latch. Secondly my version has the metal kick plate at the bottom reduced in height by 3/8". Why? Well it makes the top panes in the windows exactly the same size as all the others rather than having to be slightly shorter. It's easily changed back.

Detail 6 only has details of the Flush bolt for top and bottom and not the door handle and latch used.
As far as the height of the panes or lites as you call them are concerned, they are clearly shown as being different heights on the diagram where the top panes ar shown as having a visible height of 1' 8"3/4" and all the others a height of 1' 8" 13/16". So a reduction in height of the kick plate by 3/16" fixes that.

Hi Darren, Thank you for participating.
    Please see comments above.
Part of what we are doing is looking to build a team of designers/CAD technicians to help us with our projects. We encourage our contestants to dissect all provided information and ask for anything needed to complete the contest. We look forward to judging final entries.

    Thank you,

Hello Darron, Thank you for your entry. It looks good.
To follow up on your comments:
I see you have 3D modeling skills, but we really need the final file to be in AutoCad, and exported into a pdf file. Perhaps you could help us with 3D models in A.R. compatible formats?
Usually we do specify the hardware to be used, but for not for the purpose of this content, great observation though.
This pair of doors will have the "bolt" described in detail 6, with access from the edge of the door, again we appreciate critical thinking like this. About the backset, it is specified in one of the given details. Could you please clarify a little more about why you reduced the kickplate's height? As you can see in the elevation, the lites have always been the same size.
As I said, we need to have this door shown to clients and fabricators in 2D and 3D with drafting standards in a final pdf file. Or perhaps you can make this model compatible with A.R.

    Thank you,
    MIW Engineering

Actually I'm withdrawing this. Having downloaded a trial of Autocad. I've found it clunky and not a very smooth experience.
Why people pay so much money for it I can't fathom. I'm going to stick to mesh wrangling.
