Hi. I need a program that can program hex files into Atmel AVR´s AT90S2313, AT90S8515 and Mega8. I know that there are many of these on the market, but I need my own SW to distribute with some SW I made, and it also has to be very simple for the end user to handle. I can program some VB6 myself, but have no experience in this area. I can mail pictures of how I want it to look. Further more I need it to be able to open op the needed hex file when you write " " from with in VB6 Shell or the command line. It shall only work with com1-4 no need for the paralelport. Overview of the project: We have bought several units of a customer LCD display. The display unit is HD44780 compatible and is governed by a daughter board that interfaces between a serial port of a PC compatible computer. This board includes an Atmel 89C2051 microcontroller with 2k of internal flash memory. Due to the low memory available in the chip, we think that assembler is the right language for this aplication. The basic operation is to launch information via the serial port of the computer and represent it on the display. The problem: The manufacturer of the display has not included the standard codepage 437. I'm trying to write a code that does the same as FunProm ( Program a microcontroller Atmel AT90S8515 ) using LPT port and a Funcard Programmer. The user will select an *.HEX file, an *.HEX file for internal EEprom and an *.HEX file for external EEprom. After a button is pushed the software will start to program the atmel microcontroller. What i really need is the code for that in Visual Basic I think that it must use DlPortIO. I have written a small embedded application using Two (2) Atmel AT90S2313 chips, and would like to redo the project, and hopefully replace both of these cpu's with a single PIC. I used the Atmel chips with a Basic Compiler, because I didn't know how to make a PIC communicate at the odd communications settings I need. I need to transmit on TWO DIFFERENT PINS, and receive ON TWO DIFFERENT PINS using: 38400 baud,Odd parity,8 data bits, 1 stop bit. The application itself is very simple, and wouldn't amount to more than 50 or 75 lines of code. If someone has experience making a PIC communicate at the above comm settings, the rest is easy.
