Graphic Design Intern
Position Overview
Shaw Contract is a global design leader in commercial flooring for some of the world’s most creative and innovative environments. Our vast, sustainable product offerings can be found in diverse markets such as workplace, healthcare, hospitality, education and multi-family dwellings; supporting the spaces in which we work, learn, live, play and heal.
The Graphic Design Studio is a full service in-house creative studio providing design, editorial, photographic, print and electronic marketing materials that develop and maintain the Shaw Contract global visual identity. The Graphic Design Intern will work under the direction of the Production Manager and Brand Director and will collaborate with various members of the marketing team to produce creative collateral in line with Shaw Contract’s visual identity. The Graphic Designer Intern is a hands-on maker.
What you'll be doing and learning:
Understand the connection between words and images, diligently connecting the two tactically in all work.
Obtaining an eye for detail bringing the visual identity of Shaw Contract to life.
Participate in design execution, and creating variations based on agreed creative direction.
Learn and demonstrate time and work management

Minimum Qualifications:
On a pathway to obtain a Graphic Design degree or demonstrable experience to the equivalent,
Excellent collaborative and inter-personal skills.
Must be able to work at the location of the creative studio in Carterville, Georgia.
Demonstrated experience using Adobe Suites InDesign and Photoshop

Work Shift
8 hour, day shift
