I need a function to be written that will read columns from a common separated text file. This is a small part of a larger project but have been struggling on this part.
Basically the text file contains comma separated data e.g. "test,4,,4.5" (without the quotation marks). As you can see some of the commas don't have to have data between them, thus it is under my knowledge that functions like scanf can't be used? The function doesn't have to be general (as in passing which columns are needed as attributes) but instead can be specific, for example i the [login to view URL] provided I only need the stop id, latitude and longitude (three columns) to be put into seperate arrays.
Essentially as far as I can work out a switch function could be used for this? and should be a very quick single function to write. Again this is a c program and of c99 standard.
