NS-3 Environment contains Client - server
The server will contain a video that split into multiple segments and encoded at multiple quality levels. With the ability to change the video to test on other videos and Client contain Reinforcement algorithm that run each time the client wants to request new segment from the server and play it in the Client side.
Scenario:
In DASH (Dynamic Adaptive streaming over HTTP) server video is split into multiple segments and encoded at multiple quality levels.
The client player typically runs an Reinforcement Learning algorithm to decide upon the most optimal quality for the next few seconds of video playback(Segment). The Goal is to achieve an optimal trade-off among the competing objectives of high bitrate, less rebuffering, and less power consumption, in the face of unpredictable bandwidth variability.
