I am a dedicated copy editor, proofreader, writer, and platform manager. I have gained valuable experience working in and around office environments and I have had the opportunity to develop my inter-departmental liaison and administrative skills in these areas. Furthermore, I have obtained beneficial experience in remote-working, during recent employment – both in-house and freelance.
I have previously gained experience as a freelancer in projects relating to proofread fixes, as well as content building for e-learning platforms. Furthermore, I have worked as an Assistant Platform Manager within the Education Division at the Oxford University Press, where I developed a large amount of experience and knowledge managing an e-learning 11+ revision platform.
I’ve also gained experience using CMS such as Moodle and Joomla, when assessing and investigating software fixes for the front and backend of the platform. I was often required to compile reports and data on purchases for the platform’s sales for the Editorial, Publishing, and Marketing departments respectively. In addition, I’ve was required to collaborate and work with colleagues from the Editorial, Content Operations, and Publishing teams, in order reach collective desired goals, concerning the operation and delivery of the platform.
This experience enabled me to exercise and enhance my skills in both written and verbal communication, to learn an array of education-based learning platforms, as well as develop a keen eye for detail and accuracy for data and figures.
I have earned diplomas in proofreading, editing, self-publishing, and ghostwriting. I write short stories and entries for a personal blog, to gain experience and to maintain consistency in writing forms.
