Requirement: I need help connecting a Bluetooth 4.0 LE to an Arduino Mega 2560 R3. The Bluetooth module that I need to use based on CC2541 (similar to CC2540). Please see attachments for detail information about the Bluetooth module. My Arduino Board was using a Bluetooth 2.1(HC06) Module. That Bluetooth (HC06) was successfully paired with my phone, and that Bluetooth received data sent from my Arduino serial. I have a TI CC2540/41 device (HM-10 BLE module) and I need to updated the firmware with a different version. I have the official update software, but it works only on windows, while I need to do that from Linux during the factory init of my product. The software must run on on HM-10 BLE module with TI CC2540 or 2541 chipset. Its a simple proof of concept that we need to show - successful bidder who can provide working code and assist in setting up our modules has the priority for continuous work after the project POC has been presented. The project is simple. I want to use a cc2540 devices, and at a sensor that allows me to read the temperature and Oxygen level of an individual. I would like to be able to use a cc2540 or a cc2541 to be able to do that. Furthermore, I also would like to add an accelerometer to be able to check the movement of the device. The temperature sensor will be a thermocouple instead of a darlington sensor. I have attached the data sheet for the temperature sensor and the cc2540. We need a firmware written wither for the TI CC2540 usb dongle, ST BlueNRG dongle, or Nordic nRF51 dongle. The application in the firmware will communicate with our PC app, and will get 3-4 commands from the pc, and generate commands to the BLE lower layers and send response to the PC. I was hoping you could continue answering some questions as I still am not sure if the functionality I need is possible or if it was provided in the code you gave me. Is it possible for the cc2540 to go into an advertising mode where only previously paired devices can see the advertisement ? If so, what is the technical term for this since whitelisting can not be used with iOS. Thanks. LP

It is basically the security method used by every Bluetooth headset. Hold a button to make the device discoverable to all, allow a new device to pair, turn off discovery, and then only allow connections from previously paired devices. I am basing my code of SimpleBLEPeripheral. Assume the button has been pressed and start with general undirected (indirect?) advertising (is that terminology correct?).
