Convert 3D studio max vRay to Maya vRay

Hello I have received a .max file from a contact which contains a bunch of vRay textured files and i need that converted into Maya vRay with all the shaders and the texture connections intact. Furthermore i need every mesh to be individual and not just one big mesh. (There is approximately 100 elements in the scene.) The problem with the files i have recieved so far from the contact, is that in the conversion (they send me .fbx files) — is when i open their file in Maya all the vRay shaders and texture connections is 'broken' or not even there. When i open the file from the contact, there is 2 or 3 vRay shaders — when there in the original .max file is a lot more shaders. I need you to make me a .mb or .ma file converted from .max, where all the vRay shaders are are present AND the texture connections is also still there. Thank you.
