I will be setting up as a sole trader, freelance artwork/graphic design in the Leeds, West Yorkshire area from 18.08.15 and require a qualified book keeper/accountant who can deal with tax returns and give any advice in that regard.
My work entails mainly being hired as a freelancer, working in the studios of design, marketing and print companies, using their equipment, setting up digital artwork for print production (press ads, packaging, leaflets, corporate brochures, exhibition stands, signage etc.)
I would either be paid through an agent who finds the clients and takes a fee or working with clients directly and charging them an hourly or daily rate. My outgoings will mainly consist of travel costs, stationary and may include some computer equipment and renewables at some stage.
I would supply my invoices, receipts and relevant documents to you to organise my tax return.

As you are a sole-proprietor or self employed graphic designer, filing tax returns for you should not be too complicated. Once all income from the year has been accounted for, your expenses would be reviewed to see how much of it is tax deductible. Also if you work out of your living quarters a portion of your rent could also be tax deductible. Your purchases during the year would also need to be provided as they may also qualify for capital allowance as well as your computer equipment. Other considerations might also relate to your status in terms of VAT registration and any gifts given or received during the year as well as capital gains tax. If my bid is accepted I should be able to provide a detailed schedule of required documents and information as well as provide advise on how to maximize your tax benefits. In all, if all information and evidence are provided then I could finish the project within 2 days, however I have given an allowance of an extra two days to allow for unforeseen circumstances.
