Dear Lance, First of all, I must say your idea is absolutely possible and here are the main steps to complete your idea. 1. Implement Google Map on mobile apps and get the service provider's coordinate from Mobile GPS. 2. Instead of REST APIs, we will use socket communication for fast communication and service's provider's coordinate will be transferred to the waitress through connected socket. 3. Upon receiving realtime coordinates, we draw the service provider's position on the map again. The key features on this functionality are getting exact GPS position and using Socket communication. I already have implemented this kind of feature and I believe my experiences could be a great help for your project.
