Text Value of SMA Indicator

Value of SMA indicator line to be displayed as text for all candle. Modify the existing SMA indicator (contained in NinjaTrader 8) so the text values of the indicator are displayed for each candle. (1) The values to be displayed are not just the most recent value of the SMA; previous values of the SMA will also be displayed. I do not think this will be difficult to program because the previous values of the SMA are always present when the line of the SMA is calculated and drawn by NT8. (2) Name of the indicator: “SMA Text” (3) The functionality of the SMA will not be modified. This means that all types of SMA selections will still be functional (Close, High, Low, Median, Open, Typical, and Weighted). (4) Font Size: I am not too concerned about the font size as long as it is explicitly defined in the program. I have some coding experience so I can modify the code you provide to increase or decrease the font size. If you choose, you could make the font size a user selectable option in the Indicator Properties user interface. (5) Text color coding of the SMA values: If the current value > preceding value; then the color will be “Lime”. If the current value = preceding value; then the color will be “Yellow”. If the current value < preceding value; then the color will be “Red”. If you choose, you could make the 3 colors a user selectable option in the Indicator Properties user interface. (6) Panel insertion: The SMA Text indicator will be placed into a separate “Panel” that is selectable by the user. This functionality is already contained in the Indicator Properties user interface of NT8. (7) Horizontal Layout: I realize that displaying the text values will require a considerable amount of horizontal space. In NinjaTrader the spacing between the candles can be increased by pressing Ctrl + Down-Arrow. This feature, which is already contained in NT8, will simplify both the coding and the use of the SMA Text indicator. (8) Plot Visibility: I am interested in seeing changes in the text values. The SMA line that is typically displayed can be software coded to be either visible, or invisible, or a user option may be provided so the user can select an option to make the SMA line visible or invisible. (9) The fractional part of the text must contain 3 decimal places. The whole number part of the text will be what ever the calculation of the SMA provides.
