I have worked on many interfaces to DLLs and .net assemblies running under Delphi. I have experience with having to use double byte char sets as a well as finding memory leaks when calling other code. I would setup the DLL interfave to load at runtime so it won't prevent your entire program from loading. Delphi is my favorite development environment.
