Hi. I posted a bid on your hourly based Delphi project yesterday and I post this bid to confirm my great interest in you project and possibly clarify some details about myself. As I said I’m a software engineer with university degree in IT and 20+ years of professional experience. Big part of my professional career I spent on Borland Turbo Pascal and Delphi projects targeting different industrial niches from airlines management to equities trading. Though latest years I’ve been working mostly on .NET projects I still maintain the Delphi app with 200K+ lines of code. This maintenance is being done by me singlehandedly using Turbo Delphi 2006. That application facilitates the disclosure of financial reports and other kinds of sensitive information by Ukrainian corporations to local Securities and Stock Market Commission. The app was originated in 2003, has undergone a few major refactoring since then and still is being constantly adapted to new requirements imposed by the Commission. As I said I also have had experience with Delphi to .NET projects so I would be interested to take part not only in your legacy app support but also in the porting part of the project. I feel myself completely at ease with SQL/DB programming. In case you would need more manpower for you project I can involve some of my former teammates for support. Hello, I did bid to the hourly project as well, but as you have opened up a Fixed Price project, I can't miss it. Though, it is really impractical to estimate the scope for 'anyone' as we don't have the details viz. complexity; size; etc.. of the current DELPHI project. A humble suggestion - Either, it makes a sense to do it on hourly rates or on a Fixed Monthly remuneration.
