Infrared Detection of Objects

Hi, We can use PIR sensor as motion detector installed on gate. It's a infrared motion detector sensor that can detected object up to 7 meter. Just need to be trimmed. I have developed such systems and in order to detect distance and lengthy as 1 meter, I think an industrially used infrared sensor needs to be used. This is for better quality and accuracy.
