I have been developing a world and a story for several years (10+), yet to be finished. Although I have my own drawings and sketches, I am looking for an artist who specialises in landscapes/settings that would be willing to illustrate a part of that world.
The first setting is a day in the life of a caravan and its people in the desert (think bedouin and berber tents). Most of them are merchants, and have settled near a small city to trade and sell a wide range of goods, from exotic fruits to strange gadgets and oddities brought from faraway lands. There are a few children listening to a man (tutor/mentor), and wild dogs run about. Much is happening in a greater part of the picture, without it being overwhelming for the viewer.
Sketches and/or further descriptions of the city building, fantasy elements and beasts will be provided via message to the artist.
The illustration will be used on a website to be launched no later than early 2019, and due credit would be given to the artist.
PLEASE NOTE: It is not a children's book, a manga or a cartoon. The target is young adults / adults. The illustration must awake interest in the person seeing the picture (i.e., wanting to delve in, know more)

I'm an illustrator and concept artist and I think I can give you what you're looking for.
It's going to become a very complex illustration but I'm glad that you have a very clear idea of what you want to convey with it.
If you where to pick me for the job I would first give you some rough sketches and ideas of the whole composition based on the information you give me. And then, because there's going to be a lot of stuff going on visually, I think it would be best to tackle the image in sections while maintaining a back-and-forth with you. And lastly making it all harmonize and come together visually the last 1-2 days.

My process would be to do this by hand then digitize it, I would first provide you with some rough sketches for you to approve of then commence in on the detailing and coloring - If you initiate the chat I can send you some *watermarked* samples not available in my profile
