Just a quick work about me. I’m an English teacher in China, and books here are terrible! So, I decided to write my own teaching books, and then (hopefully) get the school I’m currently working for, to publish them.
Basically, I need this first (almost complete) book to be a show-case when negotiating for publication. If all goes well, there would a total of 6 books + 2 extra books for Christmas and Halloween. So yes, this will turn into a big and long project.
Description:
This project is for the 1st book, including flashcards.
- Numbers of flashcards to draw: about 100 (without counting colors, numbers and shapes).
- Numbers of drawings for the book: about 50 + 6 songs to illustrate.
- I’ve prepared all the pages, so you can get an overall idea of what needs to be done.
- No cover yet, I just want to focus on the main content first.
The drawings from the flashcards will be used in the book. The book itself is about 45 pages.
Drawing style wanted:
- Simple / cute. Straight to the point (see pages attached)
- Best to show me a portfolio of your style
- Need an illustrated background (white pages feel very empty)
Profile needed:
- Someone who has done this before, knows about the technicality of book publishing (number of pages, size etc..)
- Who can take initiative (for example: change the order of the pages to end up with a double page of a same topic, move around the pictures etc...)
- And open for a long-term work relationship (for the following books).
Time: it would be best if it could be finished before July. If not, then for September.
