Code clean up for simple HTML website

Hello I am looking for a front-end programmer to update my site and improve its loading performance ahead of an advertising drive. It was built based on a template in 2015 and still works well, but after my edits and a recent addition of a SSL certificate, it requires some optimisation in terms of performance. One main issue that needs to be addressed is that I have a sizzle reel (embedded youtube video) that should run automatically if the user launches the site from desktop. At the moment, the default jpg that loads for mobile devices loads first, if only for a few seconds, on desktop before the splash video begins to play. This will need to be fixed so that the video loads automatically and either shows nothing (black screen) or the youtube thumbnail and not the backdrop jpg that loads for mobile users, since it is cut to fit mobile. The second point is to ensure all the site is performing well if someone clicks an old link to the http:// site (no SSL) and the server redirects to the https:// version.
