Javascript character count textare

Have a textarea + javascript that allows you to click an icon and add content to the textarea. Once the content is moved to the textarea, the character count is increased. This works. Would like the following modifications: PART 1 + Make the appropriate changes to the code so you can (1) click the icons to add content to the textarea and the character count increases (this currently works), then (2) type in the textarea to add content and have the character count increase (this doesn't work currently), then (3) click on the icons again to add content (this doesn't work currently) and increase the character count (this doesn't work currently) Said a different way: + Add character count capability for onkeyup in addition to clicking the icon PART 2 (optional) + Create a single javascript function that calculates the character count instead of having a function for each unique id, ex - id-1, id-2, id-3, etc. Video at [login to view URL] explains and shows the current text area + javascript. No additional javascript libraries allowed. Milestone paid AFTER completion of each successful part. Not really interested in messaging back and forth. Don't care about your credentials, ratings, etc. ... either you can do it or not in a timely manner. Please provide an accurate price and time quote.
