Hostgator Cpanel Mysql Expert $100 CAD

I have a site hosted on Hostgator and need help getting mysql running with my database. I connect using PDO so my database is created, user is created, query string is fine, site runs locally. On the server I get error on my [login to view URL]: error trying to connect to user localhost using password YES. I cannot launch my site. I can't add users to Cpanel for development which is a bit of a hurdle. The developer that takes me through this job is going to have to walk me through the fix using chat. I will do what is instructed. I'll share screen shots if things get sticky. Don't ask for desktop access, I don't have it, don't know what it is, and it bugs me when strangers want to access my computer. Mysql website says this sometimes means config files arn't set right. I remember fixing an error just like this in the past, but the Stack Overflow page is gone. If you can help me get Mysql working right I can award $100. On the other hand this issue must be guaranteed solved for release of funds. No deposit. I only have $100 to work with, and must fix the issue.
