If you are not an expert on WebGL do not waste your time on this project. I will provide you with the script of the globe that is in pure WebGL (Not [login to view URL], VivaGraphJS or any other framework). The globe currently has beacons (objects that are pulsing), and what we need is to be able to click on them. So, basically what we need is mouse event listener on that object/beacon (hover, onClick). Each beacon represents a different person, so when the user clicks on it, a popup will appear.

Hello, so it looks like you need just some math geometry calculations that use the opengl matrices to cast ray from the mouse and find if some of the dots on the globe is close enough (or sue doing it tje other way, projecting the points to screen and checking if mouseis over some of them)., so you are notified on mouse ove and click. May you send me the script ( maybe webpage where its running ) to have a look, I guess this should be it...
