We have an extensive, operational e-commerce site written in Coldfusion 5.0 + MSSQL. We wish to alternatively: A. convert to .PHP, .ASP, or .NET in order to advance to a currently supported paradigm and more easily maintainable code; or B. re-write the entire application in one of the above. There are approx. 150 tables in our 40GB database and approx. 300-400 templates (many of which are CFincludes). We require 1. a Non-disclosure Agreement signed by all who might have access to the project; 2. ownership and copyright of all code, procedures, processes, layouts, and work product; 3. extensively commented code to make it possible for anyone knowledgeable to maintain, edit, and extend the project; and 4. a written agreement not to re-use any parts of the project for anyone else. Additionally, we require a project cost and timetable that are both realistic and achievable. When we proceed with this project, we need it completed in the shortest possible timespan commensurate with good practices. The successful team selected for this project must demonstrate a proven ability to complete a project of this size and scope, with references.
