Just got a basic vBulletin site up and running. Need the following pieces to make it useful...
1) Change look-n-feel with existing skins (we can buy); or create one. Add custom logo. Change forms layout to show a narrow column on each side in addition to the main forum column in the middle.
2) Modify the Registration screen and process to ask for more information than just screenname, email address...add 3 more fields.
3) Create the starter banners and forums structure as per our requirements. Banners would be about 3-5. Forums structure would be about 5ish top level, and 5 each sub-levels.
4) Install and link a CMS (Mambo or a Drupal) package to be accessed via the main vBulletin page; one of the narrower columns would be the link over, and can show the latest changes in the CMS (additions, highlights, etc).
5) CMS package selected: Add common look-n-feel similar to what we use for the vBulletin, so the two flow nicely together.
6) Arrange the CMS structure, similar to the vbulletin forums structure, so they correspond to each other.
7) Add specified content from me, and external open content to the CMS
Additional subseqent work...
- Apply language packs (start with Spanish, Portugese, Simplified Chinese); and help customization for the language
- Opportunity for ongoing maintainance and scale of the project exist
