QT based imaging application management (Win) and port (Mac) with strong UI skills

We are a Cambridge UK high tech company that has developed a consumer application that showcases its proprietary image processing technology. This application is curently commercially available for Windows only and we have decided to do a Mac port of it, as well as maintain and enhance the Windows version. We are looking for an extremely proficient developer with strong track record in multi OS QT projects, and a very solid experience in both Windows and MacOSX host operating sytems (APIs, User Interface, scripting) to do the port of our QT "shell" and take it to the next user experience level. This includes - designing installers as well as in-app upgrade mechanisms for Windows environments as well as MacOSX (10.4 and above) - refining the interface and user experience in consistence with our customer promise : easy to use, straightforward, no frills, best quality output - increasing integration capabilities both in terms of input / output image files formats as well as in terms of inserting the application into a process flow (scriptability, batch processing, watch folders, drag nd drop multiple images, post to social networks and photosites...) - preparing support for additional functionality We will provide the core image processing engine as well as the API to call it. As this is not within our core company skills, we expect strong product management and design abilities and autonomy. We would appreciate a developer based in on close to Cambridge UK where our company is located. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform MacOSX 10.4 and above Windows XP and above (current application)
