Find out why the wordpress website reverted to the demo install yesterday

As with all my projects, you must reply with a keyword in the reply to demonstrate you read this brief. I delete all bidders who don't and the keyword today is "LAYER CAKE" You must be able to do it today, starting within the next 20 minutes, and take no more than 3 hours on this. We have a website that we had changed from http to https yesterday - and for the second time, it reverted to the demo site with demo content and had to be changed back. The first time it happened was when changing the site links from http:// to http://www. We cannot work out why this happened because to it's not something that looks easy to do in error. I think you would have to go to Appearance > Themes > Theme 1 > Content > Select We need to know why this happened, who's login did it if it was an error or if its a glitch with the site/coding. And then we want the advice on how to resolve it. Although we don't intend to make any changes to http or https again I need to be sure that this is not an issue that will happen again with things like theme and WordPress updates, etc. I can provide ftp, extendCP and of course WordPress access in the question to get an answer on this.
