Script to place marker on PDF page and convert to image

We need to have a script that does the following; Introduction Users can upload a PDF file which contains construction drawings. The PDF files can contain page in different sizes landscape and portrait A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6 or custom size pages (scanned handwritten pages). (See example file "example_pdf_drawing"). What data will be provided to come to the end result? Users can view these PDF files on a iPad app (already existing), and can place a marker on any place of the PDF (See example file "place_marker_on_ipad"). We provide the following data; - PDF file on where the marker has been placed - Location on pdf X - Location on pdf Y What do we want as result? We are looking for a good working script, that makes a image (jpg/png) from the PAGE of the pdf where the marker is placed. Then with the provided X and Y location of the marker, place the marker in the image. So when I provide the system with the pdf file, location X, location Y. (say abra so i know you have read the description) The system outputs a single image with the marker on it, on exactly the same location as on the iPad app. (See example "Example_output_image") How can you test that your solutions works? We provide you with test data containing X locations, Y locations, PDF files and very important screenshots of the iPad so you can see the location of the marker on the iPad. We already have a script but it does not work correctly; These are the problems that we have with the current script and don't want to have with the new one. When a pdf contains pages with different sizes and different orientations, the markers are placed on wrong locations.
