A consulting company has been approached by the Singapore Government who, in order to recognize the contributions of Singapore’s senior citizens, have commenced a project to ensure there is adequate access to infrastructure and facilities for those people across Singapore. This infrastructure might include improved access to Public Transport, additional funding for Seniors Corners, or other types of activity centres, or be used to fund new activities or trainers and so on. However, the budget for this project is limited, and so you have been asked to identify the sub-zones in Singapore that would benefit the most from investments in infrastructure. In order to facilitate your analysis, you have been provided with a data set from the Singapore Department of Statistics, that shows the Resident Population by Planning Area and Subzone. You have been asked to conduct several specific analyses: 1. Which Planning Areas currently have the highest proportion of senior citizens? 2. How well are the areas you identified in Q1 served by Public Transport? 3. Which SubZones currently have high numbers of senior citizens? 4. How well are these SubZones served by Public Transport?
