Students will read and synthesize a number of articles related to one selected international model of early childhood education, such as High Scope, Montessori, Reggio Emilia, or Waldorf. They will study its practice by researching in academic databases and on the internet, and will make reference to required readings and selected, faculty recommended texts in the library. Based on the principle of “belonging, being, and becoming” students will analyze the value their selected model would bring to the current context of ADEC kindergarten and early childhood educational provision and what this would mean for today’s practice. Students will write a report with a closing summary and recommendations.
