determine if the vehicle is illegally overtaking in a video recording

I want to develop a python script that takes as input a video recording from a dashcam and detects nearby vehicles and the road lane the moving vehicle passes through as well as its speed (the moving vehicle with the dashcam) -python programming language Using the methods: ROAD MARKER AND ROAD LANE DETECTION -top view image transformation approach -Gaussian blur and canny edge -determine color of road lane (either yellow or white) CAR DETECTION and TRACKING -forward facing and backward facing vehicles not the same - HOG descriptor and SVM classifier for detection (sliding window, heatmaps, etc.) -track these detections with ID for final method SPEED DETECTION - no particular method DETERMINE ILLEGAL OVERTAKES (final method) -for this project, 4 illegal overtakes are chosen -illegal overtaking -overtaking at unsafe distances -overtaking when left side is not visible of oncoming traffic -speeding as long as the said methods above are met, i might have to discuss with you the final method afterwards but the idea is to use the road lane, road marker, and nearby vehicles to determine illegal overtakes.
